Meet Brian Imhof
I am not a normal wedding photographer. Although most weekends I am heading out to shoot a wedding, my weekday photo shoots are everything but wedding related. When I began taking pictures 12 years ago I was all about my commercial work (editorial, advertising, fashion). I slowly fell into wedding photography as friends told friends about me and it has now become the biggest part of my business. A few years ago I never thought I could have this much fun shooting weddings; I am loving every moment.
When I am not shooting stills I am usually out and about enjoying everything Colorado has to offer. I love getting lost in the woods on a long backpacking trip, climbing to the top of the tallest peaks, strapping into my snowboard and getting some fresh turns and hopping on my motorcycle for long cross country journeys.
For the last few years I considered myself to be a “top wedding photojournalist.” I love capturing real moments and staying out of the way while I work. The only issue I had with this title is that every guest at a wedding with a camera could be considered a photojournalist. We are all taking pictures of the same event and telling a story with our images. I wanted a title that reflected not only my style, but my technique and quality.
Recently I heard the term “commercial wedding photographer” and I realized that this was a better title. “Commercial wedding photography” takes “photojournalism” and incorporates a level of quality in one's work. I use the same lighting equipment and techniques in my weddings as I do for my commercial gigs. It’s easy to document a wedding with images, its something much more to do it in a beautiful way. I want my clients to have magazine quality images that our professional and of the highest quality.
I consistently shoot weddings all over Denver Colorado and out of state so keep in mind that my portfolio is not just Breckenridge weddings. I actually enjoy shooting weddings in new locations so much that I no longer charge any additional fees to shoot weddings outside of Breckenridge. You can learn more about this under the “investment” tab.
The best thing about my career has definitely been meeting people from all over the world and being able to say “I always enjoy going to work.”
If you are interested in my photography you can add me on Facebook to learn a bit more about me and my style. Feel free to call me anytime. My cell is 847.431.2444; call me day or night.

"Brian was wonderful. My husband and I were thrilled at his energy and enthusiasm. He thoroughly captured our favorite moments and made us both feel very comfortable and special. His humor and pure excitement was very encouraging. He got the completed photos back to us in a speedy amount of time which is more than we expected. I have already recommended him to my engaged friends. Thank you again!"

"My husband and I couldn’t have more pleased with Brian! We we given his name as a recommendation. His competition didn’t compare to his work, eye, nor demeanor! Brian was able to capture our wedding with an artistic eye yet natural approach! Our photos came out BEAUTIFUL! Bonus, he has a great personality and Grandma loved him! He details what to expect from him on your wedding day and he delivers just that!! We were so happy with him that we’d hire him again; just to shoot our pictures or if we had a child, baby photos!!"
